Granted now that Earth is safe and secure from external threats. Oddly enough the internal threat has come from non other than man himself who is working sincerely at securing earth's survival from external threats.Man has been evolved by Mother Earth to save Her.The Hrushies-better scientists than the present lot understood the Universal Laws evolved the Sanathana Dharma keeping evolution on the principle of "Live & let live". Getting intoxicated at the discoveries & inventions of modern science man wants to bring heaven on earth to enjoy each & every pleasure & comfort unmindful of the fact that he is here on the Karma Bhoomi to atone for his sins & as the dutytiful son of the Earth he has been evolved to protect her. There is not a single place safe from his exploitation and or abuse. He uses the seas for dumping nuclear and other wastes: hunt sea food indiscrimately gobling up entire species. He clears the forests and destroys vegetation. He spreads wastes and plastics on beaches, riverbeds, mountain peaks and resorts. He empties untreated industrial wastes into any and every water body. He makes the polar icesheets to melt by his occupation of burning energy sources. He not even spares the deserts. He conducts nuclear tests in the deserts. He kills hosts of other human beings and destroys properties by his terrorist and anti-terrorist activities some times genuine and sometimes by motives internal. Infact he is the one acting as Cancer cell in the body of Mother Earth eating into her flesh.
But althrough these developments, Mother Earth was not keeping quite. At the start of the advent of Kaliyuga - the times when simple people who lived a simple life and never exploited the earth have gone and more and more people indulged in exploiting and destroying her ecological balance and at the thought of what was yet to come of the scientic breakthroughs the humans will achieve in years ahead. Mother Earth tickled herself. So, there was this wonder female child crying lying beside the Tulasi (Basil plant) in Sri Vishnuchitha - Periyalwar's flower garden from where flowers of the atmost fragrance and softness were plucked, made into garlands and sent to the temple to adorn the Vadapatrasai. The Alwar was spell bound and only too eager to take the child into his folds. The alwar named her Goda,- Goda means the one who renders Srisukthies to the Lord and Goda also rhymes with Radha- Krishna's Beloved in the Vrundavana.Srivilliputhur was originally Varaaha Kshetra situated on the foothills of Dharmaadri having the Champaaranyam through which a rivulet by name Vasishta Nadhi winds its way.
Every fact associated with her birth points towards Mother Earth taking the avatara of Sri Andal (Goda) for the purpose of warning people against selfish exploits and turning their attention towards spending life on earth as trustees and attaining glory and slavation at the end:
She was born in the beginning of the era which was about to witness boon due to scientific advancement. In the month of Adi - Adi is the month when the khariff season starts throughout India the month when agriculture starts. The place where she took birth is the Pandiyan Kingdom where the Tamil Sangam flourished - she had chosen the heart of Tamil literature country for composing her verses where Tamil poets and scholars abounded. The exact place where she was born was the periyalvar's house - Periyalwar had huge followings - it would be easy and possible to spread her teachings to one and all around the globe.
If only every one knows. understands and appreciates the gist of her teachings that
- All of us are females before the Lord who only is the Purusha.
- He only is the hope of our salvation, we due to the now newly understood sisterhood principle, we shall forget our differences and find unity in diversity. We shall act as trustees of Mother Earth and stop exploitation of Mother Earth's resources. In fact we must know that she may be having something within her for her future wellbeing and safety. Hence we should not in fact use her unrenewable resources. So also we should not clear forests and decimate habitats of animals (other beings) and use these for our gratification.
