So as to remove sins and traces of sins and enhance their moral and spiritual worthiness for Moksha,Mother Earth wanted to expand the Charama slokas to their full meanings. As important as this was her urge to save herself from humanbeings exploiting and eating into her reserves (who knows that the unrenevvable things we obtain from her - metal, elements, oil, coal etc may one day be urgently needed for her own survival eg., to save herself from external threats etc.) Hence with this two fold mission she was born as Andal. The time and place had been selected by Her carefully.
Tamil and Tamil culture are the earliest. Research had proved that Tamil land extended west to Sri Lanka till Madagaskar, with earlier two Sangams, Kumari and Pahruli rivers, Kavatapuram and Thenmadurai had all now submerged under the ocean. We Tamils as a race are now a spent force and we do not want to take the laborius task of discovering our lands and history, but are content with accepting what the White scholars sitting in their seats in their homelands prefer to write. And the Northeners ? We are forced to learn about Harsha , Ashoka etc.,in detail whose conquests & reforms were not even half that of Rajendra & Kulothunga Chozhas whose exploits extended in the North upto The Himalayas, in the East & North-East upto Indonasia & China & in the South , Sri Lanka. Earlier Karikalan had tested the strenght of the Romans & The Greeks in their own home-lands, and they are treated with only passing references because they belong to the South...Our politicans are too selfish to the extent of ordering destruction of Ramarpalam.
They will never help us find our culture and history in the first two Sangam Eras much less the presangam Era. The glory of our history and culture are of high interest and satisfaction only to us. Kindly note that the same is only of academic interest to others including Tamil minorities I am sorry to say. On the other hand our politicians and reformist and secular people who are political businessmen dealing in these two (reform and secularism) commodities will stiffle our efforts to discover our past glory for if we truimph, their commodities will lose value and become myth.
The warrior, merchant and servant classes had existed in each of the earleir known cultures (Greece, Rome, Egypt, Sumeria et all) from time immemorial. The brahmins had been the under dogs. Because in Bharat the Brahmins - at least the leaders - as there are blackgoats in every state, village, even in every house so they must be among Brahmins also - because the Brahmins studiously followed close on the heels of the Rishies and Munys who found the Vedas and other Shastras including medicine music etc the Brahmins here could salvage some status
Now comming to Sri Andal. What is emphasied is that she took the avatara in Srivilliputhur which was orginally part of Varaahakshetram in a Tamil Alwar's house hold so that her mission would be accomplished succesfully. But the time for full revelation was not ripe so Sri Andal composed the Thirupavai as a simple vrata observed by the Gopies. What was known was that the Tirupavai is the essence of charama sloka and that Sri Andal composed it to convey the soul to the Devine Abode.
