SRI GODA ASHTOTHRASATHANAAMAAVALI

SRI GODA ASHTOTHRASATHANAAMAAVALI ( CONTD....... )

In this context we can utter any number of naamaavallies of even one's own choice as Sri Andal being the Compassionate Universal Mother will only be pleased when one utters/attributes a naamaa in praise of her even if it does not carry any literal meaning (for Sri Andal being the Devine Mother knows. What is in one's mind while the naamaa is uttered) She need not necessarily bestowthe boons the naamaavali slothraa promise/one wishws - Sri Andal does not grant boons which will have bad effects; She grants boons-first making him/her deserve them - and then showers them with boons which one does not seek and/or does not know to seek - so the devotee lives with pleasure & Prosperity & when his wordly sojourn ends he automatically goes to paramapadam.

'Aahwan' in Sanskrit means 'to call' Moolavar Andal's right hand fingures bear this mudra.
Tiruppavai is known is prappana gayatri.
Nooru thadaavil vennai vaay nerndhu paraavi vaithen - Nachiyar Thirumozhi
Nooru thadaa nirainda akkaara adisil sonnen' - Nachiar Thirumozhi
According to Atharva Veda (IX - 9) 'Santhodana Homa' prescribes giving away 100 pots of boiled rice to piouse people. Who else is more pious than the Lord Himself? And Andal went one step more than the Hrushi (author of the Homa) to make the rice milk and jaggery so it was the sweetest dish.

Sri Andal tiruvadikale sharanam.
